Shigawake Port-Daniel School

Nestled along the beautiful shores of the Baie des Chaleurs, Shigawake-Port Daniel School has been part of the community since opening its doors in 1954. Our school is a bright, welcoming, and family-oriented place where students and staff feel at home. With beautiful views of the Baie des Chaleurs to the south and open fields and forest to the north, our setting provides a unique connection to nature and the communities we serve. Our well-maintained facilities, including our elementary gymnasium added through the One School, One Gym project, provide students with spaces to learn, play, explore, and grow.

Our teachers use varied, engaging, and student-centred approaches to meet diverse learning needs while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. We are also committed to equipping our students to thrive in a bilingual world. Through strong French-language instruction, we place an emphasis on the quality of teaching; helping students develop the communication skills, confidence, and practical language abilities they need to succeed in French and beyond.
