Media Awareness offered through LEARN

Great news! LEARN has just signed a contract with the Media Awareness Network for their excellent media literacy and digital literacy professional development and classroom resources.  As of June 3, all you have to do is log on to the LEARN website and you will have access to the following Canadian-based resources:

  • Web Awareness Workshop Series
  • Passport to the Internet
  • Reality Check! Evaluating Online Information
  • Deconstructing Online Hate
  • Exploring Media & Race

These resources can be used as to help students’ increase their Internet and computer literacy skills, to help students’ become pro-active to become ICT-savy, and to help teachers evaluate the ICT competency as outlined in the QEP.
