Grosse Ile School overlooks sand
dunes, with the Gulf St. Lawrence in the background. The original construction
was completed in 1953. Renovated in 1996, it is now a school with lots of
natural lighting that creates a bright environment. Visitors tell us that our
school has a ‘homey’ feeling to it. Grosse Ile School serves Anglophones from all over the Islands. In fact, it is the only English school on the Magdalen Islands that certifies high school studies.
