STUDENT ACTIVITIES ON DECEMBER 20th -
Doug will arrive with students in time to leave the
school at 9:45 am and go to Havre-aux-Maisons arena. Students will
skate between 10:30 am and 11:30 am. Elementary students MUST wear
a helmet. All students must wear gloves. Lunch (macaroni) will be
served upstairs immediately following skating.
After lunch, students will
travel to the Food Bank to deliver the food items collected
throughout the community. At 12:30 pm, the students will go to
Cinema Cyrco. The movie “Trolls” will start at 1 pm.
Admission, slushy and popcorn will be paid for all students,
compliments of the Home and School Association.
All parents and community
members are invited to go skating, as well as going to the theatre.
Although skating will be free, the cost of admission to the movie
will be $5.
The Christmas Concert, a joint collaboration between the school and
the Home and School Association, will take place at 2 pm at the
school gymnasium. Parents and community members are invited to
attend. The cost of admission this year will be $3 for anyone not
participating in the concert. Santa will be making his usual visit
at the end of the concert. We will be collecting non-perishable food
items for the Food Bank at the door.
Community member and parents can drop off non-perishable food items
at the school up to Tuesday, December 20th, 2016 at 9 am.

Together we can make a difference in the lives of the most
Geordie Productions will be at school on Monday, October 24,
to present two plays: Water Weight for elementary and Instant for
high school. The high school play will take place in the morning and
the elementary play will take place in the afternoon. As always,
parents and community members are welcome to join the students.
As with past years, admission for students is $1. This can be given
to their respective homeroom teachers.
For additional information on either plays,
Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place Thursday, October 13th,
at Grosse Ile School from 1-4 pm. Parents are invited to come and
discuss the progress of their child(ren) and/or address any concerns
you may have. Hope to see you all there!
Student registration for 2016-2017
will take at Grosse Ile School gymnasium on August 30th from 11am to
12 pm. As in the past, lunch will be graciously provided by CAMI
immediately following registration.
Regular classes for students
will begin on August 31st. At this time, students can bring
all their necessary supplies for school.
GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF PARENTS
There will be a general assembly of parents on September 13, 2016 at
3:20 pm at Grosse Ile School in room 011. The reason for this
meeting is to establish the Governing Board for 2016-2017 school
year. All parents are welcome to attend. For further information and
The Terry Fox Run will take place September 23rd starting
at 2:10 pm. All parents and community members are invited to
join the walk.
