Once again, this Invitation is directed to all ESSB students of both elementary Cycles I, II, III, and Secondary Cycles I and II.

 

Proposed Showcase dates are confirmed for April 16th and 17th.

 

Rehearsals and activities will be scheduled during the day.   Shows will be held in the evening.  Details will follow.

 

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE ADEQUATE SUPERVISION FOR YOUR STUDENTS at the School related to cafeteria time and sleeping accommodations, and at the Salle de Spectacles for rehearsals. This is a Board activity and school rules apply according to Codes of Conduct which are probably standard for all schools.  Students  from each school must be supervised by individual school supervising teams.

This year there will be a $2 registration fee per participant.  There will also be a $2 admission fee at the door.  Participants only pay their initial registration fee.

 

 

 

 

 

Project Brief:

 

The goal of the ESSB Cultural Showcases is to provide the elementary and secondary students  opportunities  to participate in cultural and  artistic experiences.

Students  are to create performances in the fields of their choice:

plays, musicals, songs, creative dance, skits, story-telling, magic & stand-up comedy, etc.

 

School should supply their own musical instruments, and must make special requests to individual schools, or individuals  if they wish to borrow  or share equipment. The NRHS organizing committee will not be responsible for this since we may not be able to communicate your needs  adequately.

Cultural Showcase 2008

 

Due to cost, time and space, please print and fill out the accomodation registration form.  Due to the fact that the Showcase is two days, we really need this information in advance to begin to prepare. 

 

We ask that local schools arriving in the morning, who are not sleeping over, please have their students come with a packed lunch and snacks for the day.  These schools will have the opportunity to buy supper at the cafeteria, and additional snacks during the day.

For the 2008 Cultural Showcases, times allocations per school are based on September 30, 2007 enrolment for each school.  Therefore, please follow the guideline below for your school.

 

Elementary showcase

Please fill out the Performance Registration form for each act by your school.  This year's form was developed by the Salle de Spectacle, and I have translated the form for our purposes.  One form must be completed for each act your school performs—respecting your total minutes guideline.
