Wakeham Adult Education Center began as a center offering academic upgrading and a literacy program to an adult clientele within a 60 kilometre radius of the town of Gaspe. 

In January 1996, we offered Secretarial Studies as our first vocational program.  Since that time we have vastly increased our program offerings and have maintained our academic and literacy program. 

Over the years in partnership with the College de la Gaspésie and the C.S. des Chic Chocs, we have been able to develop the following facilities: 

• A Machining Technics center with the latest in technology on the College de la Gaspésie campus
• A business center at the C.E. Pouliot Polyvalent with modern equipment to offer Secretarial Studies, Accounting and Computing Support

The goal of our center is to serve the needs of our clientele keeping in mind the economics of our region.  We strive to provide a service that will enable our clientele to reach their academic and professional goals and to be proud of their achievements.
